Hannah moving restorative yoga class back to the People’s Yoga Coop in Amesbury MA

In Uncategorized on January 22, 2012 at 3:18 pm

Hannah is pleased to announce that Wednesday night gentle restorative yoga class is moving to the People’s Yoga Coop in Amesbury, MA. She plans to begin this Wednesday (but please check back here on Wednesday to confirm!) The People’s Yoga Coop is near Phat Cats – take a right onto Cedar Street and the studio is on the left in the 14 Cedar Street Studios. Parking is easy and convenient right outside the first floor studio (ramp to door), and the Coop is under new leadership and has made some nice updates. The Coop also now has bolsters – a great prop for this mellow style of class. See you there!

The class will be essentially the same as it has been – and can always be modified for your current needs/moods!

Gentle, restorative yoga

Wednesdays, 5:30 – 6:45 at the People’s Yoga Coop in Amesbury, $10 drop-in

Slow down, relax and renew the body with this gentle, healing yoga practice, using techniques from restorative, yin and hatha yoga traditions. The slowly-paced class incorporates restful, supported positions and gentle movements, which can help improve range of motion, increase flexibility and reduce discomfort from back or body pain. Each session ends with a guided meditation or short yoga nidra (“the yogic sleep”), with soothing lavender eye pillows provided for a complete relaxation experience.

We welcome all levels and abilities, including beginners or those with injuries or physical challenges. Each class is 75 minutes, drop-in anytime, no pre-registration required. Please wear comfortable clothes (nothing fancy required). Everyone’s first class is free – a great way to try it out and introduce friends to yoga! Classes are always free for military veterans, trauma survivors or anyone in need.

“Peace Paper utilizes traditional hand papermaking as a means of engaging communities in art practices which bring people together, broadcast their stories, and transform their fibers into meaningful art pieces.”
